K-12 PreConference KeyNote and the Library! Connected? YES!

K-12 Pre Conference is here!   I love the fact that a librarian did the Keynote, as well as being such an advocate for the following:

Kids loving that the library could be noisy at times, showing creativity is encouraged and not restrained!

Teaching students to be teachers at home, and them teaching adults to new innovations and being advocates for bringing adults into the library!

Giving elementary students so much empowerment they they create other blogs, they go into high schools working with students, and them being the presenters.

Working with NHS to push social activism.

Using social media to change the stereotypes that surround the roles of librarians.

Inspire students to collaborate, giving them voice, let them feel connected, and inspiring creativity!

If this is just the beginning, imagine how great the rest of the conference will be! 🙂
